Networking EyeCOR |
Install EyeCOR on the server using the default settings
Activate EyeCOR on the server
Update EyeCOR using the EyeCOR Update option from within the program
At the Server:
· This step needs to be done once:
Copy and paste the following file:
C:\windows\WINECX.exe
to C:\nteon\contacts-resource\WINECX.EXE
· Edit the c:\windows\system32\contacts-resource.ini file. It should read (where [X] is the server drive):

DBDir=x:\nteon\Contacts-resource\
DATADir=x:\nteon\Contacts-resource\data\
AppPath=x:\nteon\Contacts-resource\
ADD THIS LINE è: ServerPath=x:\nteon\contacts-resource

Install EyeCOR on all the workstations
At the Workstations:
· Edit the c:\windows\system32\contacts-resource.ini file. It should read (where [X] is the server drive):

AppPath=x:\nteon\Contacts-resource\

DO NOT EDIT ANY OTHER LINES IN THE CONTACTS-RESOURCE.INI FILE
· Delete the current shortcut to EyeCOR at the workstation.
· Create a short cut from the X:\NTEON\CONTACTS-RESOURCE\EyeCOR.EXE and paste it to the desktop of the workstation.
· Launch EyeCOR
Recognizing the fact that some Network Administrators do not like to share out the C:\ drive of the server it is OK to share and map the NTEON folder to the workstations. If you do this you will need to remove NTEON from the Contact-Resource.ini file. When sharing out the drive or the NTEON folder it must be shared with FULL read/write access to all users.
